Where the facts come from
Every stop code name and link comes from Microsoft's published pages below (checked 2026-10-10), and the "what to try" steps for blue screens, hardware reports, graphics resets, failed updates and disk checks follow them. Some steps are our own plain advice, not Microsoft's: noting what was happening, checking the outlet, power strip and charger, the drive maker's health tool, trying another USB port, when to take a drive to a repair shop, and the steps for program crashes and hangs. Get-WinEvent is listed because it is where those events come from, not as advice.
